Job Description:
As a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer, you’ll play an essential role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that power our applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement features, ensure system scalability, and support the overall product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain code quality through efficient version control and collaboration in Git.
• Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and/or Quarkus within a microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Implement and optimize data storage solutions using both relational and non-relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Build and maintain cloud-based applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Utilize Docker and containerization to support consistent, scalable environments.
• Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot and/or Quarkus frameworks.
• Demonstrated expertise in building RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture as well as distributed monoliths.
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• English fluency is essential; both written and spoken skills are required at a professional level.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Golang).
• Previous experience in an Agile development team.
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• German Language knowledge is a plus.
